From Lucca: from Piazzale Boccherini, go straight onto via Catalani. This becomes the Via Sarzanese, also called Viale Puccini. Follow this road for about 5 km, through the village of Nave. Just before a big bridge there is a tree-lined road on your left called Via della Polveriera. Turn left and follow this road until you get to an intersection. Turn right onto the Via Pisana and follow the road until you pass over a small bridge. Turn left into Via di Cocombola, following the signs for a further 1.5 km to Villa Bongi.

From elsewhere: take the Lucca Ovest exit from all autostradas. After the overpass you come to a traffic light with the Polizia Stradale in front of you. Turn left into the via Vecchia Pisana and follow for a couple of kilometres until Montuolo. Pass over a little bridge and turn left into via di Cocombola, following the signs a further 1.4 km to Villa Bongi.
